Public Service Delivery Index in Africa: Advancing Public Service Excellence
Measuring public service delivery has long been essential for understanding how well institutions serve citizens across Africa. Our Director of Programmes, Chioma Njoku, represented the Foundation at the launch of the maiden edition of the Public Service Delivery Index in Africa (PSDI) 2024 Report, hosted by the African Development Bank Group.
The PSDI provides valuable insights into the performance of public institutions and offers evidence-based recommendations to strengthen governance across the continent. At the event, Chioma Njoku participated in discussions about the importance of such measurement tools in tracking and improving public service delivery. Drawing on her experience at the Foundation, she emphasized how data-driven insights can inform reforms that make a real difference in people’s lives.
She joined other leaders and policymakers to explore how countries can use the PSDI’s findings to enhance transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in their public sectors. The launch highlighted the transformative potential of data-driven governance and the ongoing need to build institutions that truly serve their citizens.
